Hey, fam! Giving a shoutout today to a blog post I recently wrote for the Latin American Leadership Academy (AKA LALA @somos_lala) that I didn't get a chance to address yet! Anabella quiere cambiar cómo las personas se aman a sí mismas. En su país de nacimiento, Paraguay, Anabella empezó El Arte del Armor Propio, también conocido como Valorarte. Su meta es revolucionar la relación entre las personas y sus cuerpos. Con su equipo de voluntarios, ha hecho muchos esfuerzos para mejorar la sociedad a través del servicio comunitario y proyectos. La organización solamente cumple un año, pero ya ha logrado llegar a más de 2.000 seguidores en Instagram. Anabella es una chica con muchos talentos y tiene una sonrisa que brilla el cuarto. We're writing letters to those displaced in Villa Caracas, Colombia and/or Greece (depends which option you choose). Visit my link in bio to start writing away! I sat down with two of the co-founders of Voices of Migrants on two of my Podcast episodes (#2, #4) about why they started Voices of Migrants, their best suggestions for change makers today, and how YOU can get involved! "We [started] this pen pal exchange with kids in Villa Caracas, to let them know that there’s someone here that’s thinking about them that’s helping them that is there for them because a lot of immigrants definitely lack support," says Marianna Bonilla, co-founder and leader of VOM. My chat with Marianna Bonilla touches on many contemporary global crisis. Bonilla works hard to spotlight some of the most vulnerable of society: migrants and refugees. Her own story of migrating from Colombia to the United States has led her to co-found Voices of Migrants. From letter-writing events tp clothing drives, Voices of Migrants has a bright future full of positive change. Her unparalleled ambition is going to make her an incredible student starting at the College of William and Mary this fall.
