Hello there!
Welcome back! This week we are talking about… Water!
I’ve shocked many people before when I tell them how much he or she should be drinking water a day. While it’s easier to drink than have to prep food and cook, it’s most often overlooked.
After reading this post, my goal is that you immediately fill up that water bottle and start hydrating!
Let’s go!
How much actually?
Actually, it really is 64 ounces of water a day for teenagers and adults!
What does that look like? Think about a regular plastic water bottle, which approximately holds 16 ounces of water. Drink about four of those a day.
Why Should I?
Water makes up 65% of our bodies. We need to focus on hydrating ourselves so our body can use the water. It helps eliminate bad toxins, aids our digestive system, and helps our skin.
A lack of water causes several side effects. If you are not getting enough water, you may start to have headaches, have a dry mouth, or have really rough and red skin. Make sure to drink enough water a day.
I forget.
It’s so easy that we forget! Here are some tips to drinking more water:
- Carry a BPA-free water bottle and take it with you to work or school. This way, you’ll always have water on hand.
- Before you eat anything in the morning, drink a glass of water. The night before, have a glass of water filled up, next to your nightstand or in the kitchen. ready to be taken in the morning.
- Set a reminder on your phone. Maybe a sticky note may work better for you. Regardless, just reminding yourself to drink a glass of water will be beneficial.
Water Bottles
It’s best to carry a water bottle with you than have to buy plastic ones all the time. Plastic ones also cost a lot of money to buy everyday, but they also may contain BPA (Bisphenol A), which is harmful to the body.
The National Institute of Environment Health Services recommends to avoid consuming any plastic or canned good that is made with BPA.
Consider purchasing a glass water bottle that will last you a long time and that is easy to take on the go.
Thank you, my friend!

Have a great day! And go drink a glass of water 🙂
So far I have drunk 2 full glasses of water. I am on a roll;->.
I am now enjoying my morning coffee. Does coffee intake count towards my liquid intake for the day?
hello there! while coffee does contain water, it should not count towards the 64 ounces you need a day. It’s a great addition, however! have a great day!
Thanks, I forgot about my water today. I had some coffee.
make sure to drink some water! coffee is great… but water is even better!
