Chocolate Banana Shake

Smoothies and shakes can be a great meal, not only because it’s quick to make and easy to drink, but also because if created with the right ingredients, can provide good vitamins, minerals, servings of fruit, vegetables, or give excellent protein to keep your stomach feeling satisfied.

To create a shake that had a serving of fruit, some dairy (we need that calcium for our bones and teeth!), and also some protein, I wanted to share a delicious recipe that embodied all the above list. The ingredients are typically found in every household and it takes two minutes or less to blend.

Inspiration for this recipe came from @em_kwi on Instagram! Thank you for your recommendation šŸ˜‰

Shake Health Benefits

If we look at our ingredients, we get some dairy into our meal from adding in milk. We also get some fruits into this meal using a banana, and using from the peanut butter, we receive some protein. The ice used in this recipe is primarily to liquefy this shake.

PrepareĀ this Shake ahead of time!

This shake is fast and easy to make, but even if you do not have time to prepare it for breakfast, make this the night before and refrigerate until the next morning.

I hope you enjoy this recipe and use it as a quick breakfast. It’s so simple and it requires little to no work!
